Handcrafted furniture and decor made from reclaimed pallet wood right here in Albuquerque. Every table, shelf, and planter gives a second life to materials that would otherwise go to waste, turning industrial salvage into functional art.

Reclaimed Wood Selection
Carefully sorted pallet boards ready for their second life as furniture.

Natural Character
Every board tells a story through its unique grain, knots, and patina.
Reclaimed pallet wood is not just eco-friendly. It is a design material with inherent character that mass-produced furniture simply cannot replicate.
No two pallets are alike. Natural variations in grain, color, and wear marks make every piece of furniture genuinely unique.
Every piece diverts wood from landfills and requires zero virgin lumber. Choosing reclaimed means choosing the planet.
Pallet wood is selected for strength. The same lumber that carries 2,000-pound loads makes incredibly durable furniture.
Every piece is designed and built right here in Albuquerque, supporting local craftsmanship and reducing transportation footprint.
From simple floating shelves to full dining sets, our workshop handles projects of all sizes. Each category below represents the types of pieces we build most often, but we welcome custom requests for anything you can imagine.
From rustic farmhouse dining tables to modern industrial coffee tables, our pallet wood tables are sanded, treated, and finished to bring out the natural grain and character of reclaimed lumber. Each table top is unique, with variations in color, knot patterns, and patina that tell the story of the wood's previous life.
Floating shelves, ladder bookcases, and wall-mounted display units crafted from reclaimed pallet boards. The varying tones of salvaged wood create a visually striking accent in any room. Shelves can be stained, whitewashed, or left in their natural state.
Raised garden beds, vertical planters, and decorative planter boxes built from pallet wood. Perfect for patios, balconies, and small-space gardening. Our outdoor planters are treated with food-safe, weather-resistant sealant to stand up to New Mexico's intense sun and dry climate.
Statement headboards and full bed frames that bring warmth and texture to any bedroom. Our pallet headboards come in herringbone, horizontal plank, and mixed-width designs, each one showcasing the unique character marks of reclaimed wood.
Outdoor benches, Adirondack chairs, bar tables, and lounge seating designed for New Mexico's outdoor lifestyle. Built from thick pallet stringers and deck boards for maximum durability, then sealed against UV and moisture damage.
When you choose pallet furniture, you are making a measurable positive impact on the environment.
Every piece of furniture is made entirely from reclaimed pallet wood and salvaged materials.
Each furniture item diverts an average of 50 pounds of wood from the waste stream.
Our furniture program uses zero virgin lumber. All wood comes from decommissioned pallets.
Properly finished reclaimed wood furniture can last decades with minimal maintenance.

Lightly sanded to remove splinters, then sealed with a clear matte topcoat that preserves the original color and character of the reclaimed wood. The most authentic look, showing every nail hole, stamp mark, and weathering pattern.
We offer over 20 stain colors from light golden oak to deep ebony. Staining evens out color variations between boards while still allowing the natural grain to show through. Each piece is sealed with a polyurethane topcoat for durability.
A diluted white paint wash that creates a light, airy, coastal look. The wash allows the wood grain and character marks to show through while softening the overall tone. Sealed with a satin or matte topcoat.
Solid-color paint in any color you choose. We use furniture-grade chalk paint or acrylic paint, lightly distressed if desired, and sealed with a durable wax or polyurethane finish. Great for pieces that need to match a specific color scheme.
Two-part epoxy coating that creates a glass-smooth, waterproof surface. Available in clear (showcasing the wood beneath) or tinted with pigments and metallic powders. Popular for bar tops, coffee tables, and counters.
Marine-grade spar urethane or exterior-rated polyurethane that protects against New Mexico's intense UV radiation, temperature swings, and low humidity. Reapplication recommended every 2-3 years depending on sun exposure.

Not all pallet wood is furniture-grade. Our rigorous sourcing and preparation process ensures that every piece of furniture we build is safe, clean, and structurally sound.
We only source pallets from known supply chains. Every pallet is traced to its origin industry. We reject pallets from chemical plants, pesticide distributors, and hazardous material handlers.
Only HT (heat-treated) stamped pallets are used. We never use MB (methyl bromide) treated pallets, which contain toxic chemical residues. Unmarked pallets are also rejected.
Every board is inspected for chemical stains, unusual odors, oil residue, mold, rot, and insect damage. Any board that fails inspection is routed to industrial recycling -- not furniture.
All fasteners are removed with industrial nail pullers. Boards are run through a metal detector to catch embedded nails and staples that could damage tools or injure users.
Boards are kiln-dried to 8-12% moisture content, which kills any remaining bacteria, mold spores, or insect eggs. This step also stabilizes the wood to prevent future warping or cracking.
Boards are planed to uniform thickness, then sanded through a 80-120-220 grit progression. The result is a smooth, splinter-free surface ready for finishing.
The IPPC stamp on a pallet tells you exactly how it was treated. Here is what each code means for furniture safety.
SAFE for furniture. Thermal treatment only, no chemicals.
SAFE for furniture. Moisture reduction through heat -- no chemicals.
SAFE when combined with HT. Indicates bark removed before treatment.
NOT SAFE. Toxic chemical fumigant. Never use for furniture or indoor projects.
AVOID. Without a stamp, there is no way to verify what chemicals the wood may contain.
Every piece of pallet furniture from Albuquerque Pallets is built exclusively from verified HT-stamped pallet wood sourced from clean supply chains. We maintain full traceability records for every batch of wood that enters our furniture workshop.
